The newest wedding dresses to add to your Pinterest board.

Twice a year, the bridal industry has its own version of New York Fashion Week, where the trends for the upcoming season are revealed. We recently debuted our Fall 2018 collection with a presentation that celebrates everyone — a gown for women of all sizes, styles, and budgets.  Our newest collection incorporates some of the key trends from Spring 2018, such as statement skirts, cool toppers, and fresh color options, as well as plenty of fresh silhouettes, fabrications,  and embellishments to get excited about! Keep reading for the Fall 2018 wedding dress trends you can look forward to!

Petal Pushers

We can’t get enough of floral wedding details, and even better when our wedding dress features a flowery motif.  This season, we’re offering a variety of blooming beauties; choose the level of flower power that best suits your style! From a sprinkling of 3D appliques embellished with beading or swathed in tulle, to a striking ball gown adorned with grand rosettes on the skirt, and everything in between! If you’re after a romantic wedding dress, you’ll want to consider one with plenty of petals incorporated into its design.

360° Drama

You’re the star of the show at your wedding with photos being taken at every turn, so a dress that is picture-perfect from all angles is a must. Our newest collection boasts some of our prettiest gowns with alluring back details. Illusion mesh, intricate sheer lace, or an open keyhole are just a few of the ways you can wear this trend from our fall arrivals. Style tip: wear your hair up to show off that stunning back!

A Touch of Whimsy

Move over rhinestones and sequins, these whimsical embellishments are what wedding dreams are made of! First, our new favorite way to give a gown some shine is with specks of glitter or glimmering metallic threads strategically scattered throughout. What we’re aptly calling ‘fairy dust’ gives these new wedding dresses an ethereal sparkle with every turn. Alternatively, feathers are having a major moment! A feather-trimmed hem instantly makes a timeless silhouette more glamorous. The  fun doesn’t stop with the gown; feather statement earrings or chic feather topper are great ways to add some playful drama to your look.

In with OTS

Off-the-shoulder dresses have been trending in ready-to-wear and the fresh neckline translates perfectly to bridal as the new take on strapless. Highlighting your decolletage while offering some comfort with the sleeves, off-the-shoulder wedding dresses are a crowd favorite. Style tip: opt for statement jewelry to complete your look.

More Lace to Love

Lace is always a classic bridal choice, but what makes this season’s lace wedding dresses feel fresh are their updated details and unexpected combinations. For example, lace goes Boho with long sleeve sheath and keyhole back; graphic with linear lace motifs; modern with high necklines; and sultry with an off-the-shoulder trumpet wedding dress.

Pretty Pearls

Channel something old than through the details of your wedding dress! Pearls have that inherent vintage feel, and these gowns from our fall collection are the perfect combination of old and new.

Sleeves, please!

Planning a cold-weather wedding? Long sleeves pair perfectly with the season, offering the prettiest amount of coverage so you’re comfortable all day long. Additional details, like an illusion mesh, plunging neckline, or low swooping back balance out long sleeves.

Color Crushes

In with the hue! The colored wedding dress trends continues, and this season we’re introducing a new color: Stone! Along with Champagne, Gold, and warm blush tones, colored wedding dresses are perfect for the bride who dares to stray a bit from tradition. Not to mention, they’re so flattering on so many skin tones! Pull off a non-white dress by ensuring your accessories complement your color of choice and not clash. See our guide to colored wedding dresses for more tips and inspiration.

For a wedding day that feels royal.

As the world waits to see what Meghan Markle will wear to the Royal Wedding this spring (see our designers’ predictions here), we’re revisiting a few of our favorite royal brides from the past for the ultimate princess wedding dress inspiration. See their bridal looks below and tips to create your own fairytale wedding outfit.

Grace Kelly

Grace Kelly changed the princess-bride game when she said ‘I do’ in an impeccable ceremony to Prince Rainer III of Monaco with a wedding dress to match. The iconic Grace Kelly wedding dress features long lace sleeves, a high neckline, full ball gown skirt, and tiara to complete the polished and timeless look. To this day, brides everywhere still covet a princess wedding dress like hers.

Kate Middleton

This generation’s princess bride, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is said to have been inspired by Kelly’s renowned bridal look for her wedding to Prince William in 2011. With similar lace long sleeves and ball gown silhouette, Kate Middleton’s wedding dress is proof that timeless wedding style is always in style.

Now that you have some princess bride inspiration, it’s time to shop for your own princess wedding dress. Keep an eye out for these elegant bridal details:

Silhouette. A ball gown is an iconic wedding dress silhouette. The traditional voluminous bell shape is perfect for a formal affair, especially when paired with a long train for the walk down the aisle.

Sleeves. Off-the-shoulder necklines, long sleeves, or both, are additional dress details that favored by both real and fictional princesses.

Bodice. From a Basque waistline to a corset, consider a dress that cinches your waist to enhance the drama of a ball gown wedding dress.

Finishing touches. Nothing completes a princess look quite like a sparkling tiara and longer-than-long cathedral veil. Add bold, statement jewels for accessories that withstand the test of time.

Our best dresses with all of the swoon-worthy details.

We’ve shared our favorite gowns under $600 and $1,000, but today we’re highlighting our top tier dresses, from price point to design. What warrants the price tag of our $1,001-$2,000 dresses? First, hand sewn upon the gowns are intricate lace and floral details. Careful attention goes into adorning airy chantilly lace sleeves or ornate 3D embroidery. Next, yards and yards of tulle are used to create fuller-than-full ball gowns and that shimmering godet skirt. Lastly, thousands of beads, sequins, pearls, or crystals embellish a number of our dresses, from top to bottom. See some of our most coveted hand crafted wedding dresses under $2,000 below.

Because who says you have to wear a ball gown on your wedding day?

Thanks to inspirational content and insanely beautiful real brides all over Pinterest and Instagram, the standard of having a ‘true to you’ wedding has heightened. We have been so inspired by this nontraditional, alternative bride movement, from the getaway gal to City Hall I do’s, that we have an outfit for everyone no matter their ideal wedding-day style.

Short/High Low

Women modeling short wedding dresses

Cropped hemlines are of-the-moment, for their versatility and accessorizing possibilities. The best part about these clean-slate styles is that you can really make the look your own. Rock your favorite shoes and everyday earrings for a casual feel, or go glam with a sparkly pump and over the top jewelry.

Pants/Jumpsuits

Women modeling bridal jumpsuits

Pants please! Wearing separates or a jumpsuit on your wedding day isn’t just casual and comfortable, it’s the definition of chic. A crisp wide-leg, white pant and strappy crop top to match is the ultimate cool girl combo. Looking for something a tad more formal? Give our strapless jumpsuit a try. The greatest part about these styles is that you can (and will!) wear them again.

Simple/Effortless Sheaths

Women modeling sheath wedding dresses

This is probably the easiest way to partake in the alternative bride trend without straying too far from wearing a long, white dress. Simple sheaths are easy and light weight options that can work for almost any wedding. It’s all about how you style it!

Not into wearing something other than a beautiful, long, white dress on your big day? Consider giving these looks a go for events surrounding your wedding, such as your rehearsal dinner or bridal shower. To help guide you in the right direction, explore our casual dress assortment, over 100 carefully selected styles that are perfect for the alternative bride. Remember, whatever you do, be you!

The best wedding dress trends from our Spring 2018 event.

Another New York Bridal Fashion Week has come and gone. Last week we previewed our latest and greatest gowns that will take weddings by storm next year. Read on for the best wedding dress trends from our spring collection.

Clean Slate

Confident and classic, but with a modern twist. We are loving a minimal dress with unexpected details, like an open back, a statement bow, or fun pockets. The plain canvas is perfect for keeping all of the focus on the beautiful bride.

Toppers, Capelets, and Capes

This season’s statement accessory helps you go from one look to two, with pieces that add coverage and versatility to your wedding day look. Choose from a topper that turns your strapless dress into a high neckline, an airy elbow-length capelet, or a full-length cape (with dress-matching design).

Statement Skirts

A full skirt, high-low hem, or thigh-high slit make the walk down the aisle something to remember. Expert tip: a slip under a full skirt ups the princess-bride ante, and a statement heel is essential for shoe-baring styles.

A Touch of Color

A bride in a non-traditional white wedding dress is a trend we continue to love. Besides the blues and pinks already in our assortment, we added slate grey, whimsical purple, and shimmering gold options to the mix.

Cool and Casual

A little white look is essential no matter the “I do” venue. A silky, short number is perfect for a stop at city hall, while a funky two-piece jumpsuit (with a strappy open back) is ready for any party. Bonus? You can (and will!) re-wear these post-wedding.
