Introducing the fresh new wedding inspiration from our Galina Fall 2018 collection! This season boasts new bohemian wedding dresses for the girl who craves that laid-back feel. To capture the effortless elegance of our Fall collection, we took to a seaside escape among the hills of Malibu, CA for our campaign shoot. This backdrop was perfect for our latest styles; the breeze of the sea and the hidden hills mimic the getaway vibe of our Galina gowns. Keep reading for a closer look.

Four of the gowns we highlighted in this shoot are the epitome of what we envision of the Galina bride. We start with inherently bohemian wedding dresses that then feature a twist on classic bridal trends. Playful and unexpected elements make these gowns beautiful from all angles. First, this allover lace gown has long sleeves, a delicate eyelash trim along the neckline and cuffs, and opens up to a breezy keyhole back. Perfect for a wedding day with a forecast of coastal chills.

How pretty is this bridal party (and that background!)? These ladies have boho beauty down pat. The bride wears this sultry and sweet tank sheath with thoughtfully placed lace for a flattering fit and a lace-up side panel for a sexy touch. The winding way in which the lace is laid pays an unexpected homage to the hilly location of the shoot. Her Wine bridesmaids match her relaxed style in flowing dresses (aptly described as waterfall tiers).

Next, we styled our coveted low back spaghetti strap sheath. You might remember this gown from a couple seasons ago, but we couldn’t pass up styling this beach-perfect gown with some new accessories. Add a floral topper for the prettiest amount of coverage or a back necklace that highlights the extra-low swoop. Complementary v-neck bridesmaid dresses—with their feminine silhouette—take these effortless I dos to the next level.

Finally, for the boho bride who errs on the side of traditional, this tank ball gown dress has a textured skirt for an airy walk down the aisle and pretty butterfly-inspired bodice. In our new color Stone, this gown emits a warm glow for the bride who wears it. And no look is complete without the accessories! From eclectic earrings and statement headpieces, the styling options are endless. Can’t forget her ‘maids! Our new convertible dress in mix and match palettes has a similar light-as-air feel for an effortlessly cohesive wedding day.

For our Spring 2018 Galina collection creative shoot, we packed up some beautifully simple wedding dresses and headed to the desert to create the most breathtaking outdoor wedding scenes. We envisioned an easy-going bride with a past of spontaneously packing up and hitting the road, sleeping under the stars, and living in the moment and brought that unscripted vibe to her wedding day. Set in  Joshua Tree and surrounded by raw beauty, she’s ready to begin the next adventure with her partner and friends by her side.

Can we talk about this scenery? A nature-lovers dream! Rock formations and actual Joshua trees serves as the altar for this outdoor wedding. In addition to being picturesque, they provided our crew with some much needed shade in the stifling August heat.

Now, on to the dresses. For the bride, both gowns  featured soft floral details, a trend you’ll find in many of the refreshingly simple wedding dresses in the Galina collection. The first dress has 3D florals scattered across the  bodice and illusion corseted back. The second dress is an all-over, floral lace halter dress with a breezy back detail, perfect for a warm-weather wedding.  The bridesmaids wore bold brights, including flowy jumpsuits (!), and printed heels, to complement the Galina bride’s relaxed, eclectic style.

Who What Wear, the elevated online destination for aspirational yet accessible fashion content, shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at our Spring 2018 Galina Collection campaign shoot in Joshua Tree National Park. The editors at Who What Wear speak with our design team about inspiration behind this season’s collection. They discuss adventure, travel, bridal trends and who we see as our Galina girl.

Dan Rentillo, Vice President of design and product development, explains that this season’s campaign was inspired by a couple seeking adventure, experience, and travel. Hosting the photo shoot at Joshua Tree seemed so fitting to our team. A dramatic desert with the expansive open sky and amazing natural light is the perfect backdrop to narrate the Spring 2018 Galina story and highlight new Galina wedding dresses.

Defining our Galina bride as eclectic, free-spirited, playful, and fresh, this season we address her style evolution. Focusing on the ease of this collection, Spring 2018 offers the Galina bride flowier shapes, lighter fabrics and plenty of vintage Boho wedding dress styles. Although Galina is a cohesive collection, each dress is individual and has unique fabric accents.

Each season, our creative team picks a new destination as the backdrop for the beautiful images you see on our website, social media, in our advertising and here on our blog! For fall? Mexico! We’re sharing a first look at our most recent campaign shoot, and more importantly, our newest collection of wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses. We started the series with a look at classic wedding dress from the David’s Bridal Collection. Next up is an imagined destination wedding featuring casual wedding dresses from our Galina and DB Studio collections.

We brought our free-spirited and playful bride to the vibrant streets of the city of Merida. The sun-washed buildings and varied architecture provide a laid-back atmosphere for a breezy, fun-filled destination wedding. Throughout the shoot, our bride wears an assortment of lacy gowns and dresses suitable for a more casual affair. Paired with artisanal accessories and colorful accents, the looks reflect her eclectic personal style.

In the first scene, she’s filled with excitement and anticipation as she steals an intimate “first look” with her groom before the ceremony. The bride wears a vintage-inspired lace wedding dress with short sleeves with a open back detail. It’s almost like the bridal equivalent of a T-shirt! Note the groom’s sneaks to match the relaxed vibe.

It was extra easy to capture the models’ chemistry since they were a real-life couple.

Next, our bride and her bridal party meet up with a band for a festive stroll celebrating the newlyweds. The bride wears a flower lace V-neck wedding dress with empire waist and the bridesmaids wear mismatched bridesmaids dresses in bold hues.

Finally, the bride waits for her groom by their getaway car in a plunging lace halter ball gown, ready to embark on their next adventure.
